All of the 5th and 6th class have been working hard on a big project on Europe. We made flags of all the different countries in Europe and wrote fact files of the various countries. We made a big map of Europe, a big European flag, a big Aer Lingus plane flying over Europe and a big hot air balloon. This shows the timeline of flight from the kite as far as Amelia Earhart’s first trip across the Atlantic. We looked at landmarks like the Giants causeway in Northern Ireland, Stonehenge in the UK and the Eiffel tower in France. 5th class also did independent projects which are more detailed. They are about Spain, Italy, Germany and Russia. Everybody worked really hard on our project and we all enjoyed doing it. Here are some pictures of our work:
