Visit from Irish Parks & Wildlife Services

On Friday November 5th we had a visit from Rebecca Dobson of the Irish Parks & Wildlife Services. Our junior classes met some mini-beasts and discovered just how they manage without a backbone. They also got an opportunity to use a microscope and see wasps, spiders and dragonflies up close. BT Young Scientist Awards here we come!!

Rebecca took our senior classes on a “virtual trip to the bog” where we learnt about the plant and animal life specific to this local habitat. The star attraction was Ireland’s only carnivorous plant – The Sundew.
