Winter in the Infant Classroom

Junior & Senior Infants have been learning all about winter.

We have been talking about cold winter weather and using lots of winter words.

We thought a lot about cold things and hot things. We learned about cold places and hot places. We have been reading about Arctic and Antarctic animals and how they live. We learned a poem about January and we’ve been singing about our icy toes and chilly noses!

We even did a drama about five little snowmen who melted away. Last of all we made some lovely snowflakes – senior infants had to cut very carefully and Junior Infants painted theirs.
