Autumn Activities in Junior & Senior Infants

Autumn is an exciting time.

We love the wonderful autumn colours and jumping in the crunchy autumn leaves. We learned some autumn rhymes and sang a great song called “Autumn Leaves are Falling Down.”

We talked a lot about the animals in autumn – Sammy Squirrel and Harry Hedgehog. We learned a song about Harry’s preparation for his long winter sleep.

We also sang a song called “Hibernation” and we learned all about the different animals who enjoy the big long sleep.

We made our own autumn landscape and made some little hedgehogs to sleep in it.

We also decorated our big tree with autumn leaves and then we made some hedgehops and squirrels to live in it.
