In Junior & Senior Infants we have been very busy painting chick pictures and sunflowers and learning about a very famous artist called Vincent van Gogh.
We painted some lovely chick pictures using sponges to make our eggs and carrots to make our chicks’ bodies and heads.
They are very colourful and we love the. Before we worked we listened to a piece of music call “Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks.”
We also talked a lot about a man called “Vincent” who painted lots of pictures. He was always sad and had a lonely life. He loved sunflowers and painted them over and over. We looked at his “Sunflowers In A Vase” and then did our own paintings – we even wrote our names on the vase the way he did. We also listened to a song about Vincent called “Starry, starry night.”
These are our paintings.
