Junior & Senior Infants have been learning all about new life in Spring – especially Mammy birds and baby chicks. We read a story about a very fussy Mrs. Bird who wanted to move to a better house, it was called “The Best Nest.”
We also learned some lovely rhymes about nests and chicks. We read an Irish story called “An Sicín Beag” too.
We even learned a song “Where Can You Be, Baby Chick?
We have our own real nests in our classroom and we made some lovely nests, eggs and chick chicks from márla.
We made our own little hand-print chicks also. We love them.
