Wonderful Winter Work

Junior and Senior Infants have been very busy over the past few weeks working on our Winter Wonderland. We began by talking a lot about Winter and making a long list of Winter words.

Then we got some black paper and drew some Winter scenes with white chalk.  We worked very hard and you can see our lovely pictures.

We read a book “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear?”  We learned this as a song too and then we made some fluffy white polar bears.  We mixed shaving foam and glue to make the fur.  This was great fun but really messy! Have a look at them.

After we had talked lots about the Arctic region we decided to build some igloos.  We recycled some packaging and stuck them on to paper cups. When they were dry we made some Eskimos to live in them. We think they look very happy!
