Children of Lir

Junior and Senior Infants have been listening to some Irish legends. We loved the story of “The Children of Lir.”  We looked at lots of pictures which told the story. Then we made our own beautiful swans from paper and a lovely lake for them to live on. We learned that folded paper is an art form from Japan and is called “oragami.” Have a look at our oragami swans Fionuala, Aodh, Conn and Fiachra.
