We have been learning lots and lots about a very brave young girl from Cork callled Annie Moore. Did you know that she was the first immigrant to the United States to pass through Ellis Island or that she spent Chrstmas day 1891 on board the SS Nevada on her way to America or that she received a $10 gold coin on her arrival onto Ellis Island??? We read about her, watched videos about her life, wrote entries into her diary and best of all we performed a song all about her! Ms. Martin & James think that it is so good that it is worth sharing.
